The mission of the Jackson County Finance Department is to provide sound fiscal policies and financial reporting information necessary to effectively manage the fiscal affairs of the County.
The Finance Department is responsible for all financial management functions of County government. The department accounts for all receipts and disbursements, prepares the County Manager’s recommended budget, administers the adopted budget, inventory, coordinates the annual audit by an independent accounting firm. The Finance Department is also responsible for the purchasing, payroll, and personnel benefit functions in County government.
Room Occupancy Tax is administered by the Finance Department.
