NOTICE OF INTENT 

TO APPLY TO THE NORTH CAROLINA LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMMISSION FOR APPROVAL OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS

 

The Jackson County Board of Commissioners intends to apply to the North Carolina Local Government Commission for the Commission's approval of County general obligation bonds for indoor pool facilities.  The maximum amount of the bonds to be issued is $20,000,000. Any citizen or taxpayer of Jackson County may, within seven days of this publication, file with the County's Board of Commissioners (by writing to the Clerk to the Board of Commissioners, Jackson County, 401 Grindstaff Cove Road, Sylva, NC 28779) and the North Carolina Local Government Commission in Raleigh (by writing to the North Carolina Local Government Commission, Attention: Secretary of the Commission, 3200 Atlantic Avenue, Longleaf Building, Raleigh, NC  27604), a written statement of any objections that citizen or taxpayer may have to the issuance of the bonds.
