The purpose of the public hearing to receive public comment on the consideration of a proposed financing contract under G.S. 160A-20 for the Jackson county Administration Building and School Projects. The total amount to be financed is $27,000,000.00.

The Jackson County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 6:25 p.m., at Justice & Administration Building, 401 Grindstaff Cove Road, Room A201, Sylva, North Carolina.
The purpose of the public hearing is to consider the creation of a county-wide Public Safety Service District and the levying of a county-wide Public Safety Service District Tax pursuant to North Carolina General Statutes (§153A-300 et. seq.). The report required by North Carolina General Statute Section 153A-302(b) and a map of the proposed district is available for public inspection in the office of the Clerk to the Board and at www.jacksonnc.org.
