EFFECTIVE MONDAY MORNING - MARCH 23, 2020, THE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICE AND 911 CENTER WILL BE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC. CITIZENS CAN MAKE APPOINTMENTS BY CALLING ANY OF OUR OFFICE.

The Jackson County Emergency Management Office is part of the County Government who are to assist the citizens of Jackson County before, during and after any type of major emergency or disaster event. Emergency Management is responsible for coordinating, planning and administering the countywide emergency management program which involves mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.

EMERGENCY INFORMATION – PREPARE NOW FOR EMERGENCIES!

  • A three day supply of water (one gallon per person per day) and food that will not spoil.
  • A first Aid kit that includes your family’s prescription medications.
  • Emergency tools including battery powered radio, flashlight and plenty of extra batteries.
  • Cash money and coins on hand for a three (3) day period to purchase necessary items.
  • Sanitation supplies.
  • Special items for infants, elderly or disabled family members.
  • Keep important family documents in a fire/water-proof container.
