This program is an opportunity for participants to venture into the wilds in a group instead of on an independent basis. It provides a more safe option to those who do not have others they can explore areas with or to those who are not familiar enough with the areas that we frequent. It is offered to participants ages 10 and up. It varies from short 1-2 mile walks to 6+ mile hikes. Transportation is provided for these participants. This is a yearlong program with approximately one trip per month.
The youth of Jackson County gather for a fun filled day of hunting Easter eggs and an opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny. Eggs are scattered throughout the fields at The Recreation Center in Cullowhee so that all the kids can have plenty of room to run and enjoy the Easter festivities. This program is in April so make plans to add this event to your Easter schedule.
Come out and enjoy breakfast and cookies with Santa Clause. This is a fun event for all the children to get a chance to tell Santa what they want for Christmas and enjoy Breakfast with their friends and family. This event will take place at the Senior Center.
