Land Records

Jackson County Land Records maintains ownership of real property based on information of record. Information of record includes documentation retrieved from the Jackson County Register of Deeds Office and Jackson County Clerk of Courts Office. All property maps are maintained on Jackson County’s GIS (Geographic Information System). These representations of property boundaries and ownership information can be viewed with our user friendly interactive map viewer.

Land Records also houses Jackson County’s Plat Review Officers. All plats are reviewed for recording per North Carolina General Statute G.S. 47-30 and are subject to Jackson County’s local planning ordinances.
