The Jackson County Community Development Office presently has grants available for low income families with housing needs. To qualify the home must be owner occupied, single family at or below the median income.
The income limits are as follows:
1 Person - $17,800
2 Person - $20,350
3 Person - $22,900
4 Person - $25,400
5 Person - $27,450
6 Person - 29,500
7 Person - 31,500
8 Person - 33,550

Jackson County will be receiving a Community Development Block Grant, Scattered Site Housing Grant of $400.000. To be eligible, you must meet the guidelines listed above. Jackson County does have a waiting list, but will add your name to our list if you think that you qualify. Contact the Community Development Office and provide us with information so your name can be added to our list.
We have applied for several additional grants for 2011. Those grant funds are pending award.
Our next funding cycle will be in 2012.
